With almost two years of experience as a seasoned coach at PJHS, I have enjoyed mentoring students in volleyball, and track and field. Growing up, I enjoyed playing basketball and volleyball. This experience has provided me with a unique perspective as a coach, allowing me to understand the game in-depth and provide informed guidance to my players. Currently, I am pursuing a master's degree in marriage and family counseling to enhance my expertise in guiding individuals towards success and self-growth. It has been fulfilling to witness student-athletes strive towards achieving their goals and reaching their potential in sports.

I have been teaching, coaching, and directing athletics programs in Paradise, Magalia, and Chico for the past 26 years. I grew up in the bay area and have always loved competing in athletics. As a young child through high school, I competed on cross country, track and field, and basketball teams, but loved playing all sports. This love of sport and a desire to help people guided me toward the path of being a physical educator. I graduated from Chico State in 1996 with a bachelor's degree in Physical Education and have been at it ever since. I absolutely love my job, love working with my students, love coaching my athletes, and have always strived to help kids become the best versions of themselves. I am a firm believer that athletics is a fantastic way for kids to grow so much more than physically. When we compete with a Paradise Junior High School jersey on, I teach our athletes that we represent ourselves, our school, our town, and our whole community. This is something that we must do with pride, class, and amazing sportsmanship. Win or lose, it is how we carry ourselves that is most important.
